R:.W:. Gregory L. Davis, District Deputy Grand Master

Welcome to District 26 of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida. Masonry is the world's first and largest fraternal organization. It is a body of knowledge and a system of ethics based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and fraternity. The mission of Freemasonry is to promote a way of life that binds like-minded men in a worldwide Brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethnic, cultural, social and educational differences; by teaching the great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth; and, by the outward expression of these, through its fellowship, its compassion and its concern, to find ways in which to serve God, family, country, neighbors and self.

As Masons, we lead by example, give back to our communities, and support numerous Masonic philanthropies. We invest in children, our neighborhoods, and our future. The aim is to build a better world by building better men to work in their own communities.

Freemasonry does not solicit membership. All of its members have asked to become members by seeking out a member and asking for a petition to join. If you are considering petitioning a local Lodge and are hoping of coming into the Lodge with the expectation that membership will provide social or business gain, you will be disappointed. That is not its purpose, though Freemasonry is known as a worthy organization and membership carries with it a great amount of prestige.

Freemasonry is a fraternity that has existed for hundreds of years throughout the free world. Friendship, morality and brotherly love are practiced daily to allow good men to live in harmony with family and friends. Our charities are available to all in need and doors of our Lodges are always open to those that inquire or seek admission.

Fraternally,

R:.W:. Gregory L. Davis, District Deputy Grand Master
